A Beer & A Swim!

Groundhog Day 33 of COVID-19 UK lockdown.

We're luckier than most living in the countryside, and with another beautiful hot sunny day I cut the lawns and afterwards we set off for yet another walk from the house. This time to Michaelston Y Fedw, alongside the River Rhymney.

After fifteen minutes Mrs BB spotted a can of beer on a fallen tree trunk across the river and offered to pose with it (main photo). A mile further on in Draethen near The Old Mill the water was a bit deeper and Mrs BB went in for a dip (extra) - it was cold but she's really missing swimming her miles that she did every week before the country changed.

The bluebells (see extra) were stunning in Coed Craig Ruperra alongside the Iron Age Hillfort.
