Baldwins Hill Primary School

Because of the need to keep its pupils secure (like most other Primary Schools) the gates are always firmly locked and bolted.

Today however, a lone teacher is in school and I was able to sneak in and get this picture of the rather charming main building. I'm told that the school roll includes children drawn from a very wide area such is its appeal.

The building dates from April 1898 when it replaced a building which dates from 1874 (and is now a private house).
