A present from Christmas

I bought two Amaryllis bulbs as part of my contribution to our family `Lucky Dip’ at Christmas.  I ended up with this one which I finally got around to planting ??? late and not too long ago.  I discovered previous images of a Red Amaryllis that I’d taken in 2015 and I think they are better but I quite like this lens baby image against the light.

I’ve been busy with garden jobs (and the ongoing saga of trying to put a Zoom programme in place for our camera club), so my focus on Blipfoto has been a bit diminished over the last few days.
