Bees and blossom

What a lovely May Day we had, warm and sunny and the beehives were humming! I hope they were all bringing in loads of nectar and will have a look tomorrow to make sure they have plenty of space to store honey!
The apple blossom is opening now and should be getting pollinated, although I have just read in my BBKA magazine that dandelion flowers have a much higher sugar content and are more attractive to bees. Hopefully they will visit both.
