Closer

A little closer than my last deer encounter, this Roe buck was down by the river today.

There wasn't much sun left by the time I got out this afternoon so there were very few butterflies about, but I did find a couple of clumps of Small Tortoiseshell caterpillars (extra) which bodes well for a good summer brood.

Oh, and I did see a Kingfisher flying rapidly upstream.
