A break in the rain and we nipped out for a quick walk around Pohara. It's pushchair friendly, close to the sea and you get an interesting wander passed a variety of holiday and residential homes. It also has an historic graveyard that I'm dying (!) to visit, but probably not a brilliant place to go with a lively toddler.

Grandies' duty after that. We splashed out on a few new books- more Maisie Mouse, and Animals and Counting for Kiwi babies. Later I took Esme out to see the new piglets who were frolicking with their enormous mother. I forgot my phone so no photos yet. We also saw the most enormous rainbow whassat she pointed! She's into rainbows - and pigs, and dogs and cats and unicorns and moles.

A trip around Fresh Choice, madly civilised, and an inquiry at the Rural Store whether they had an hoops and protective netting. There was a bit of confusion both ends re accents. But no they didn't.

Weirdly its dark here at 6pm. All very confusing.
