Old -fashioned shrub

This Deutzia Scabra or "Pride of Rochester" grows on my grandparents property. I was told years ago my grandfather worked on a crew that was clearing farms where the Navy base in our area is now. He slipped pieces of a shrub and brought them home in his lunch pale. There are two of these shrubs in their yard. I plan to slip some of the soft wood and try to start a few myself. I am told you can not find them at nursery's anymore. We will see what happens!
This comes just in time for fresh starts and if it is successful it will always remind me of my grandparents and also the COVID-19 pandemic.
