It’s a jungle out there

For the first time ever, we have planted some seeds. I feel like a 10 year old doing a school project, only many decades late.

This is a tray full of coriander seedlings. Micro greens. I like the way in which the seedling pushes the discarded “skin” of the seed upwards as it grows, so it looks as if it is wearing a little bowler hat of sorts.

Our neighbours on two sides have given us some young plants, yesterday and today. And yesterday a big box, expertly packed by a local nursery arrived, full of young herbaceous perennials.

There is really no excuse for not sorting out our garden. Lockdown has some silver linings.
