What is This?

Another fascinating plant form! 

This Icelandic Poppy plant where this blossom is springing from was originally posted on March 12th, followed by this post on March 7th. You'll notice that the color is coral-ish...so what is this bright yellow flower emerging from its very hairy cocoon?  

The world of plants provides such distraction, doesn't it?
