a lifetime burning

H R GIGER

You know how it is, you set off into the garden knowing that its Abstract Thursday, with a view to undertaking a telephoto zoom motion blurred shot.  But then you notice that there are now blue damselflies on the pond, and when you get closer you realise that some of them are busy emerging from their nymph stage before your eyes.

So with visions of the Alien, as conjured up by the Swiss artist HR Giger you end up with a shot like this.  Its not as sharp as it would be with the macro lens, but I didn't want to get too close to these newly emerged damselflies as they hardened their wings in the sunshine.

It is Thursday again.  Funny how it comes around every 7 days.  But it does mean that tonight I have the highlight of my social week, this week.  Namely, the virtual pub meeting with my local friends utilising Zoom.  Beer and crisps are ready.  Actually not the crisps as we've run out! Still all is not lost, I have beer aplenty :-))
