Apple and aronia berry blossom

The only  two types of fruit I grow are apples and aronia berries. The aronia blossom (lower right) is from a little know berry, native to N. America, which grows well in the Scottish climate. The little black aronia berries contain higher levels of antioxidants, ployphenols, and anthocyanins than cranberries, blueberries, grapes, and most other fruits. However the birds must know that too! So I'll need to net these in August. The apple blossom is profuse this year. I'm going the tackle scab using a natural neem oil concoction to try and avoid this problem with the skins although it is only superficial and the Discovery apples taste beautiful.
