It's Taddy Time

With all the beautiful photos of emerging leaves, flowers and birds we see on Blip these days it is easy to forget the new life in the pond.

Here is one of my tadpoles living, not in the pond, but in a bucket of spare weed, where I put some of the frogspawn as insurance against the pond itself becoming, as did last year, so overgrown with algae that the frogs never developed.
Incidentally, the  background is not of duckweed but a green roof tile retrieved from the demolition of the Fairmile Inn (aka Hillburn Roadhouse) and serves as a ramp for any froglets to escape.
