Abstract Thursday : : Light and Shadow

On Saturday it was too cold to be outside, and today it is too hot to be outside! I did a brief tour around the house and found a slightly new angle on this oft photographed agave. Looks like even the spider has retired from her web building labors and is resting in the shade....

We met our neighbor's new puppy yesterday and learned that she retired from running a private medical practice just last week. We admired 'Copper' a 9 week old golden retriever puppy from across the ravine between our houses. While we got caught up, Copper ran around exploring new territory. She will probably be unrecognizable the next time we see her, but right now she is just an adorable ball of fluff....

Not such a bad time to have a new puppy...

The governor talked for an hour today about new phase two 'guidelines'. He talks a lot, but it can sometimes be difficult to tease out the actual information from the blizzard of words.
One of the reporters, speaking from her attic, amongst the stuffed animals and old hockey sticks, seemed to think that he was giving more leeway to individual counties to open up as they see fit, as long as they follow the guidelines. It seemed a bit circular to me, since the guidelines didn't seem very different, just more complicated.....

Under no circumstances can nail spas or hairdressers anywhere in California open yet, so I gave myself a pedicure and painted my toenails blue.
As for my hair...there's not really much I can do about it, so I'll just leave it to its own devices and see what happens....

OilMan trimmed his beard and mustache today....
