Learning day by day

Anything she can do...

Lovely day today. We headed into London early and made it to the Science Museum. It was very busy inside, but as the Natural History Museum had a huge queue outside it I think we were at the less busy museum.

The kids had a play in the 'Garden' although we left before they found the water part. Up to the Launchpad, intending to do the story telling, but it was rammed so we went into the Launchpad proper where they had fun with the hands on stuff, particularly the hydrogen rocket that made a loud bang.

After lunch we headed north to Regents Park to meet Larry (William's Godfather) and his wife Asa and their four kids. We were there before them so the kids took advantage of the playground near the boating lake. William didn't even glance at the age appropriate area for him, he just followed his big sister onto the big kids bit, with only a little help needed due to his short stature!

Once we all met up we went for a walk around the lake with the kids sharing the four scooters and then we wandered along the canal, past Little Veince, Camden and all the way to Kings Cross. Surprisingly with six kids, no one fell in the canal (W was in the Ergo at this point), although one of the scooters came close. Carys had been on a three wheeler (she has a two wheeler) and didn't realise that if she let go of it on a slope it would roll down the slope towards the canal. Cue a comedy moment of Larry initially shouting for Carys to catch it and then very quickly changing to shouting for Carys to stop as she headed towards the edge of the tow path. The scooter did not end up in the canal though so all was well.

Both kids slept very well unsurprisingly. Must do it again.
