Thank you NHS workers and Carers

This installation has appeared in a park which borders the main A456 route into Birmingham City Centre.  This situation was chosen so that all those workers travelling to work in the City Hospitals would be able to see it,  It has a big sign saying Thank You in front of it.  I like the delicacy of it, the colours of the overall and the gloves that are being put on, and the angel wings.  The wire mesh and its impermanence are so symbolic too.

It has been created by a local sculpture artist, Luke Perry for this special time.  I love his creativity and dedication to local people and their concerns.

We spent the afternoon sitting at a table cloth covered table on our front drive with our next door neighbours at a suitable distance chatting away - longer than we have ever done in all the years we have lived here.  The main bunch of neighbours was a bit further away but we could hear and see pretty much what was going on.  A good VE event.
