Mowing

All the silage fields have been mown.  This field is a green manure field with chicory growing -  and grass - and is being topped.  Pity this year we won't see the chicory flowering.

VE Day:  Thinking back to what my parents told me.  They were both individually (because they hadn't met each other yet) in the crowd with their friends outside Buckingham Palace.  Both my parents were in London during the Blitz as they were both medical and thankfully survived uninjured although having escaped near misses.
