Baby Apples

There was a nasty incident in our street this morning where one dog attacked and had clamped its jaws around the neck of another dog. The poor dog was screaming and the two owners were shouting and screaming and trying to separate the dogs. People came running out of houses with sticks and ropes and were hitting the attacking dog to no avail. Eventually someone started pouring water over them and eventually it let go....but not before at least one person (not the owner) had been bitten and had to be taken to hospital for treatment. The police were involved and the CSI team had to come as well. I understand that the dog that was attacked is all right but have not heard about the other...it will probably have to be destroyed. Of course social distancing went out of the window as people crowded round to help.

An indoor day today .. much colder than yesterday. Made soup this morning - carrot and coriander. Nice warming lunch and some for the freezer.

Made fish pie this afternoon, some for tea tonight and four portions for the freezer.

The baby apples in the garden are growing rapidly. There are lots of them.

There will be new experience for us later this evening...a zoom meeting to celebrate the life of my brother-in-law’s fiancée. He didn’t want to go down the road of a masked or virtual ‘funeral’.
