Oldfashioned Toast

Well! What a night with gales and rain. We had 90 mile an hour winds maybe even 100 mile and hour last night and although no damage to the house part of the roof of the greenhouse blew away.We have found one bit but still to find the other bit. At about 1.30am the lights went out and that was that till the morning. A wire from the house to the transformer down at the toilets had broken. We were kept warm from the Morso stove and this is how you have breakfast when you have no electricity. With the prospects of sitting about waiting all day we decided to just go down to Ullapool to get some shopping and when we returned about 4pm the men were there fixing things. Fours cars at the door. The electricity just came on in time for tea so lets hope it is not so windy tonight.
