the young ones

two young robins are still around but are very independent now and spending more time in the open. That's not to say that they don't occasionally ask to be fed still, but then don't all kids no matter what age.

Other lockdown garden news; the blue tits continue to busily flit all over the place with what looks like  nervous energy feeding their young. The nest box camera helps us keep track with what's going on and today only 7 mouths could be counted (its difficult when they are moving, hidden by feathers and climbing over each other). Thats down from the 11 that hatched and is still a big number to maintain. Survival of the fittest is the cruel reality.

I saw the wren leave the area of her nest today, the first time in a while. I would love to know what is going on there.
