The mauve pelargonium

I bought this last spring as a very small plantlet, bred from a cutting by a reputable nursery. I saw it in a greenhouse when it had one flower bud. It grew well last summer and by late autumn had become a biggish pot plant. As autumn turned into winter I decided to put it out in the slightly heated cabin to overwinter it.

I hadn't pruned it, and was pleased to find it in reasonable condition as the light returned. I brought it back into the the house, fed it, watered it well and now am finding it in robust health and ready to be put outside to enjoy full sunshine. I recorded its early morning flowers today for the record., as you never know if it may just decide to give up.
