Cool batteries

Decided to blip these great batteries. If you regularly use a strobe flash then you will be aware of the importance of good batteries - if you shoot weddings you will have a heightened awareness! These batteries have a superb recycle time.

The other thing you definitely need is a decent charger. Mines was about £50 and charges eight batteries at a time.

The most important thing is that the charger has SEPARATE charging cells for each batteries. If you buy a unit at a tenner or so, the batteries are "claimed" to be charged when one is charged - in fact they are not. A smarter unit also gives a slow charge and has a discharge function to fully drain batteries before charging - this really helps with battery life.

Keep away from speedy chargers - batteries normally take two hours to charge correctly.
