Grubby's Blipfolio

Scaeva pyrastri (European hoverfly) macro.

When the sun comes out it makes it so much easier when using a macro lens as they rely on plenty of light. This was one of a few different Hoverflies seen buzzing around today. Horrid sounding Latin name if you ask me. I love them but my wife is always complaining when they get in our conservatory. They are lucky if I find them because I catch them and release them....but if I am not around they often end up as a spider's lunch.
