Giving The Eye

I opened lots of windows because we were expecting a boiler engineer. While he was in the loft dealing with the circulator I spotted this jackdaw on the front lawn and shot it through the window jamb. 

Jackdaws have light eyes, unlike other members of the crow family. They communicate with each other using their eyes in the same way that humans do. They mate for life.
