Entranced by the Light

Supposedly these flying ant like creatures come before the rain. They began to arrive as we sat outside after dinner. The sky was dimming, and although there were no lights outside, they buzzed around enough to chase me inside.

Inside, where a light was left on, I found hundreds of them entranced by the light. Their eyes must be very strong, because if I was that close to something so bright, my sight would get blotchy and my head would start to hurt.

Later that night, after the light was off and the bugs had found somewhere else to buzz, the rain did come. The cool that comes with it is so refreshing!
