Blockage.

Our air conditioning in the old falcon has been going on the blink lately. Eventually it just stopped working altogether. Today while we were getting some items fixed around the house from the storms we also booked in the air conditioning man to come and look at the falcon. Turns out it was a blocked filter in the gas line. Unfortunately you can't just change this one yourself since it is inside the pressurised refrigerant line. Now we have a fresh filter, fresh charge of gas and lubricant and an icy cold falcon to shut out the heat while driving on the motorway. Ahhhhhhhhh YES!
