Tredington

After a nice chat with Jo and James we had lunch then set out in the car to where we wanted to go a couple of days back (see TPMS drama).  Unfortunately when we arrived there, after a very nice ride through the countryside, a lot of other people had had the same destination in mind.  This surprised us as the last time we were there, a few years back, the place was deserted, I blame the government for encouraging everyone to get into their cars, undo the good that has been done to the climate, clog up the roads, as we're not supposed to be using public transport, and generally DON'T STAY AT HOME!  Unless, of course, you're old, sick or sensible.

Anyway we drove on past and stopped in the pretty village of Tredington where judging by the number of cars outside houses and the peace and quiet of the village most of the residents were sensibly staying indoors.

I did stop and had a chat, suitable distanced, with a long-term resident, forty years, who was tending to the plants and growth by the church wall.  She was sorry we couldn't see inside the church as it was shut for the duration.  She hoped she would live long enough to see the end of the pandemic!  Let's hope we all do.
