Throwing Shade

It was color wars this evening, team red vs team blue, as a pair of Blue Jays and a pair of male Cardinals descended on the maple tree near the feeders.  The first time they arrived, there was quite a kurfuffle and they all took off.  They came back a little later, and there was another dust-up  (see extra) before one of the blue jays landed on the feeder and let the cardinal know he had better get lost....and he did. 

Team Blue won. Let's hope that happens in November too.
