The Lozarithm Lens

The Old Forge (Sunday 17th May 2020)

I had a sense of deja vu when I looked out of the window first thing and saw a cat grooming itself on the car port roof, where Smokey used to sit. It turned out to be Mrs T making herself at home of course. I tried to get a photograph but she was obscured by greenery. I got quite close but she saw me and when I greeted her in a friendly voice she hared off guiltily.
It did remind me to photograph this wildflower that grows just underneath the car port. It is green alkanet, a member of the borage family and used in salads and cocktails in much the same way as borage. It's also known as evergreen bugloss, and is my submission to this week's Wild Flower Week, with thanks to its host, Miranda 1008.

So much better resolution in Large (Gallery) view
