Time for Nest Building

Dear Diary,

All the birds are in full construction mode now and this little Song Sparrow is plucking fluff from some rope holding up the Trumpet Vine.  Yesterday was such a lovely day and my birthday felt very special.  I saw my first Rose Breasted Grosbeak and Hummingbird and a very plump bumble bee entertained me at lunch by repeatedly bumping into the window next to my chair. My neighbors came over to sing "Happy Birthday" to me outside the porch.  Horatio and his mate Harriet raced around the potting shed and the Chipmunks darted on and off the Back Porch Café.  So, regardless of what is happening in the world, all is right in my little corner of it.
