Sgwarnog: In the Field

Malachite

I managed to get a bit of a walk in before the rain arrived although the clouds were gathering.

I found this Common Malachite beetle roaming the grass stalks in the field behind the cricket ground at Tong Park. In another month or so this space will be impenetrable, but for now it is just lush. Red and black froghoppers were also in residence.  Elsewhere, the Chimney Sweeper moths have emerged.
