Riding Waves

Waves from a passing boat made the reeds bob up and down. I shot them at 400mm compressing the waves, bringing them closer together. In doing so they form horizontal lines, contrasting with the mostly vertical reeds. Waves are smooth, reeds are hard edged. Waves are blue, reeds are orange(y). Just a couple of new green shoots for variety.

Trying to concentrate on photography by the lake shore was difficult because of the blackbird flying overhead, chirping persistently. I don't think they liked me being so close to their nesting site in the reeds (see female in extra).
