Blue Stripe

The blue stripes on the stump struck me immediately I saw them. I've no idea how they are created. The rich colour and texture appealed to me and the round orange fungi is a nice contrasting element. I think this image looks better on black, a white background is rather distracting.

After a frustrating search for photographs on a cloudy evening, I was excited to see some wood ducks (extra) at the end of the inlet. Unfortunately, not such a good image.
