Lathyrus Odoratus

Broad-bodied Chaser

Conditions were perfect so I walked my woodland butterfly transect this afternoon. The habitat has become very overgrown in recent years, the canopy now covers what used to be open rides and the glades are overgrown with bracken and grass. In the 45 minutes it takes to walk the route I didn't record a single butterfly. It wasn't a complete waste of time though,  I saw at least ten Broad-bodied Chasers (all female) as well as several Beautiful Demioselles (also all female).
