Surface Tension

Watching the broad-bodied chasers in the heat of the afternoon was very entertaining as they were doing what they do best - chasing. 

This female had just dropped her egg and you can see it on the pond surface.

The males perching occasionally to see off rivals from their territory and then to mate. Mating in Extra. The four-spotted chasers were harassing the females as they oviposited over the surface of the pond and very harassing extra.
