Diana Fountain

Day 63- early morning ride through Bushy Park , very very busy with dog walkers, joggers and cyclists so then went Hampton... not busy there!
The Diana Fountain looking lovely in bright sunshine. It is a gilded bronze statue of a goddess on a marble and stone fountain, surrounded by bronzes of four boys, four water nymphs and four shells. It was originally created for Somerset House in 1630, it was then moved to the Privy Garden at Hampton Court Palace in 1656 and then in 1713 was moved to Bushy Park in the middle of Chestnut Avenue which was designed by Sir Christopher Wren. It was restored in 2009 and regilded.

- cleaned part of balcony tiles
- planted rest of dwarf beans and sunflowers at the allotment
- painted two plant pots
