Memory Making

Is there anything better than being five, taking your shoes and socks off on a hot day, and paddling in cool water with your little sister (and best friend), huge cumulus clouds floating overhead and a mother duck with ten new ducklings nosing about in the weeds beside you?

Took the kids to the  Bracebridges for their Nature lesson today, well worth it. Though both kids took a tumble and now have grazed knees. And too many people to be comfortable sometimes. But hey, still worth it.

Gratefuls:
- meeting one of Zion's teachers, who told us we were doing the best sort of school possible
- seeing the Park ponies up close
- yellow irises in profusion round the margins of Bracebridge, and the kids being able to get right in amongst them
