I did a bit of gardening this morning before the forecast thunder storms - no storm, no rain, so I sat outside reading this afternoon instead :) Sainsbury's delivery today - just 1 replacement item of a larger sized container of blueberries which is ok......except they weren't in the bags and I've been charged!

Day 67 / Day 59 of Lockdown / Day 9 of Step 1 (for my record only)
UK deaths up 338 to 36,042 with the global total of people who've had CV passing 5M (obviously actual total is much higher). Some interesting stats today, ONS says per population sampling in England, 0.25% of the population (1 in 400) had the virus between 4th & 17th May, that's 137,000 people with an estimated 61,000 new cases. Other sampling with antibody tests showed 17% in London have had the virus and 5% in the wider population.

New swab test in a 6 week trial which gives a result in 20 mins, this could be key for slowing the spread through isolation when Test, Track & Trace is introduced. 10M antibody tests have been procured from two companies (Roche and Abbott) for use by NHS and care staff. Over time, this test helps model risk when combined with emerging information on if / how long immunity lasts, whether future infection is milder and whether you are less likely to spread the virus. New graphs clearly show the dramatic effect of the lockdown. PM has a good change of heart and has dropped the requirement for NHS & care home workers from overseas to pay the Immigration Surcharge.
