Rowan Leaves Unfurling

A week ago there were a pair of buds on this twig. Now the buds have burst open and the closed fans of leaves are on the way to their final form, ready to work their magic all summer, gathering sunlight and turning it into sugars.
Got out into the garden today and cleared a small raised bed. It had been sadly neglected so it took a long time but it is now ready to receive new plants and will resist the weeds for a season or two.
I have been very quite about my cycling for a while. This was because the battery on my e-bike suddenly stopped charging. The shop agreed to replace it for free because it must have been a production fault. For reasons too complicated to go into here, but related to Covid-19, it took 5 weeks for a new battery to arrive but yesterday I charged it and today I was out on the roads and forest tracks, which felt really good.
This was the first day of real warmth, which felt lovely. Summer will soon be here.
