Another boat

I’d not noticed this boat before, it’s just in front of the sheds so not very visible from the road. Nice beach walk this morning but so hot and humid.
Started work late but got the lectures done. I ran out of brain power so about 30 minutes to do tomorrow. Some shops are opening for people to collect orders and my friend and colleague picked me up some nail polish while she was out. Hardly a necessity but lovely to have. Eid is coming and they’re struggling with not being able to buy new clothes for the celebration.. it’s the done thing, as it was in Kuwait and Egypt. She said they order on Instagram and go to the shops and collect everything.
The number of locals getting Covid-19 is on the rise, they’re not socially distancing in Ramadan. And still high numbers among the army of imported workers. We’re averaging around 400 cases a day.
We’re not going to get paid for the three day public holiday for Eid. We’re now being treated like casual workers, not full time staff.. tired of his bad behaviour and attitude. My HR colleague is unhappy about his disrespect for what Ramadan stands for.
Finished with a beach walk, cooked a chicken curry, my delivery came today. TV, bed. And six days off.
