Heath Spotted

This afternoon I went to look for Pearl-bordered fritillaries at one of the sites where they have been re-introduced. I only spotted one but it was so windy (the lupins I was so proud of yesterday have taken a real beating) butterfly photography was impossible. Instead here is a Heath Spotted orchid - you might be able to make out the slightly ridged stem which is one of the ways of distinguishing these from the Common Spotted (the leaves, which you can't see, are also characteristically narrow and pointed).
