A windy day

Restless night again and woken too early by the sound of a can rolling down the street (it’s bin collection day and a can had blown out of a bin in the winds) but nothing else for it but to get up and at it.

So by 9am I had emptied (and refilled the dishwasher), chopped leeks and put them and stewing steak in the slow cooker to make a filling for steak pie and made and eaten breakfast.

After that it was on with more crochet before getting dressed and collecting the bin from the pavement. Didn’t go for a walk today as thought we would be blown away but instead helped Miss PHL go through her clothes to make room for the things she brought back from uni. 2 bags of rubbish and 1 for the charity shop later and we were done.
Found some treasures along the way including a wee vest from the hospital where she was born and her first ballet shoes - gulp!

Steak pie was tasty and enough pastry over to make mini apple turnovers for pudding.

Then it was time to join the girls for our weekly quiz/games night. Tonight we had a mini quiz followed by Who wants to be a Millionaire - I was last to get a question wrong at the £125,000 question but hey it’s only for fun.
A lovely few hours chatting and catching up and in bed for midnight so technically this is almost a back blip.

Flowers are 2 weeks old so they’ve lasted well!
