Parklife

With the park getting busier by the day, all it took to enforce social distancing was a brisk Westerly!
I nipped up to check if my plastic cloches had blown away; just the one as it turned out which luckily had got caught up in the pea netting but both glass cloches had been blown over. No major damage done, the courgettes that they were meant to be protecting will recover. But a couple of strawberry plants were almost blown away, just hanging on by a few roots, so some remedial earthworks are now in place to hopefully stop them disappearing into the wild, green yonder.
On the home front, we have a few additions to the household. One of the swordtails has produced babies and there are tiny bits of orange to be found hiding in the aquarium undergrowth. Not sure that any will survive to adulthood or will just supplement the other fishes’ diet. Either way, the male swordtail has hit his stride and we expect more arrivals before too long!
