Marsh Orchid

With the easing of Lockdown allowing us to travel for exercise, I took my first trip out to Thursley National Nature Reserve, which is about a 30min drive from me.  The reserve is renown for its dragonflies, and I was hopeful of catching some. While I saw masses of the creatures, they proved too fast for me to catch on the wing and rarely landed (extra). However I just enjoyed being out in the fresh air under warm sunny skies.

My other hope was for some Marsh Orchids as a subject for BikerBear's Flower Friday challenge, but these proved to be a little elusive. I managed to find this one in a position for a decent shot, albeit at the expense of wet feet from stepping into the boggy marshland around it!
