Ffarwel Haf

Ffarwel Haf ~ Michaelmas Daisy

(Correction: It's probably an ox-eye daisy)

Yn ôl y geiriadur (https://geiriaduracademi.org) mae'r Michaelmas Daisy yn 'Ffarwel Haf', 'Blodyn Mihangel' neu 'Blodyn ola'r haf' yn Gymraeg. Gŵyl Mihangel yw'r 29ain Medi, felly os maen nhw'n blodeuo ar Ŵyl Mihangel rydw i'n gallu deall sut cawson nhw eu henw. Efallai ein blodau wedi dechrau yn gynnar.

According to the dictionary (https://geiriaduracademi.org) the Michaelmas Daisy is 'Summer Farewell', 'Michael's Flower' or 'The Last Summer Flower' in Welsh.  Michaelmas Day is September 29th, so if they are blooming on Michaelmas I can understand how they got their name. Our flowers may have started early.
