Gently down the stream

Lazy day

Herb robert - Geranium robertianum
Red clover - Trifolium pratense
Cow parsley - Anthriscus sylvestris
Green alkanet - Pentaglottis sempervirens
Bramble - Rubus fruticosus

A bit grey this morning, but beautiful now.  Perhaps I should have gone out walking, but I didn't.  Instead you have this.  Herb Robert grows in copious  amounts in my garden.  It's one of the smallest cranesbills (geraniums) and much too pretty to be brutal to.  The red clover grows just outside the front, the cow parsley and green alkanet at the bottom of the Close, and the bramble by the Nuns' Stream.  All grow in large quantities in the Itchen Valley, so I didn't feel too bad about snipping small pieces.

Haven't done much else today: ate, read, listened to the R4 News, fell asleep in the conservatory and picked out a few new T shirts to order online..  An average lockdown Sunday.

And a reminder: as from today, the WildFlower Challenge has run into its 9th week (honestly, I just don't believe it!).  So the tag is now WFW20_09.  Get your entries in by midnight Saturday 30th and delight us with one or two of the lovely wildflowers growing in your bit of world.

Hope you're having a great weekend  xx
