That was some job!

I had been holding off grass cutting, deliberately leaving it long to leave flowers for the bees. Vital round here, where Big Farmer spends so much time spraying heaven knows what, and insects are rare as hell's teeth.

But the time comes when anyone has to get a haircut. So did the grass. In the absence of a scale object I can tell you the cuttings pile is 4 foot high and much wider than this shot.

And it took all day, allowing coffee breaks.
