Life through the lens...

By ValC

Poppies everywhere.

We actually had rain last night.
Enough to do the garden some good.

Had an enjoyable morning watching TV.
Both Scottish programmes.
First “ Landward” which is a little like Country File, but more down to earth.
Then” Beechgrove “. Scotland ‘s answer to Gardener’ s World.
As it was still drizzling we watched Great Expectations. The wonderful black and white 1946 film, with John Mills as Pip. Have seen it no end of times but still enjoy it.

As it had dried up we went out for our walk after lunch. The paths were covered in leaves brought down by the strong winds.

Mid afternoon and the sun finally appeared.
Today’s photo taken of the garden as I was preparing tea.
Love the yellow and orange poppies at this time of year.
I don’t mind that they seed themselves everywhere.

Now looking forward to a hot sunny day tomorrow. I hope!
