Pheasant Chick

On our early morning promenade we disturbed a family of pheasants as we emerged from the path through the hedge into the lane. This chick was the slowest to react and I managed to grab a couple of shots as they all disappeared into the verges!

A bit of gardening this morning - I was strimming weeds from the block paving paths! Mrs madwill was doing growy/planty things involving pots, compost and assorted green things.

An afternoon of bottling beer for me - that is the third batch in four weeks - 132 bottles in all. Got one bottle from the last batch to finish tonight and I can begin the first of the new batches.

Home made ‘tortilla pizzas’ for tea tonight…

One of Mrs madwill’s aunts died a couple of days ago - following surgery complications after falling and breaking her hip. She was 97 - the eldest of 10 siblings. Sadly the funeral will have to be ‘virtual’ which is such a shame after a grand life.
