Can you guess what these are?

I have done many jigsaws in my time but I have never encountered such delightfully shaped pieces. When I was in Lavenham in the UK last year I purchased a lovely little 40-piece jigsaw, my smallest ever, made of wood. It measures 5" by 3.5". It is a photo of the wonderful Little Hall in Lavenham. Last night, for the first time, I took the pieces out of the box and momentarily thought I must be on another planet.
