Morning walk

Here is the view from my morning walk. Nice and early so just a couple of dog walkers on the Knott and nobody in the woods.

This view looks north east across the Kent Estuary which cannot be seen because of the tree cover in the foreground.

The grey rocky hill in the middle distance is a huge lump of limestone called Whitbarrow. It is a naturalist’s delight. The light coloured area in front of it is Foulshaw Moss, a Cumbria Wildlife Trust reserve. It is home to Ospreys and is rich in insect life.

The weather continues to be idyllic.
